5 Ways to Instantly Increase Affiliate Commissions

If affiliate marketing has captured your interest and made you earn at the comfort of your home, the next goal you have to achieve is to increase your commission to your desired rate.  How do you do that?  Here are some of the tested tips from the super affiliates.

 

1.       Check out the best program and the most saleable product to promote. 

If you go to Google or any site that provides information on the salability of a product, you will have an idea on which product to promote according to the taste of your target audience.  If you type in affiliate sites on the particular product to any search engine, you will see which merchant offers the best commission and has the solid track record of paying their affiliates easily and on time. 

However, it is not enough to find the most saleable product that offers the best commission.  You have to see (for physical goods) or read the product (if it’s an eBook) and be convinced that it is the best product you have ever tried.  That way, you make the best testimonial that you can write and promote in your website.

To differentiate you further from other affiliates promoting the same product, write a few other articles or eBooks about the product and give them for free to your customers.  Provide them free reports that contain valuable information.  If possible, add some recommendations about the products. With eBooks, you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering.

There are thousands of affiliate programs online which give you the reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to gain the most out of your advertising dollars.

 

2.      Capture the names and email addresses of those who downloaded the free eBooks.  This way, you build a customer database which makes it easy for you to send follow up emails to remind them of your offer, to keep them updated or simply stay connected for further product offering.

Before directing the customers to the vendor’s website, get their contact information by asking them to fill up your short form. You may offer a free report first which would be immediately delivered to their email address.  From there, you provide them with the affiliate link which would take them to the vendor’s site.

Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to you forever. 

But when you get their names, you can always send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only.

 

3.      Publish an online newsletter or eZine.  You can create your own blog site if you only have a one-page website.  Publishing your own newsletter allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers.

A newsletter is not a sales letter.  Therefore, keep up to the content that best suits a newsletter.  Balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch.  If you continue to write informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity in your readers that may lead them to support you by buying your products.

 

4.      Negotiate for better deals and commissions than normal.  Go beyond what others usually get.  You will get what you desire as long as you keep on breaking sales record.

A smart merchant knows how to read performance indicators.  He or she will likely grant your request rather than lose a valuable asset in you. Keep in mind that you are a zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy about requesting for addition in your commissions. Just try to be reasonable about it.

 

5.      Reinvent and make powerful pay-per-click ads.  Your ads must stand out from the rest of other ads on the same niche. 

Try out Google Adwords and Overture for your advertising campaigns.  Manage the PPC campaigns properly by checking and monitoring which ads are more effective, which are having the most number of clicks, and which are indeed converting into tangible sales.
